Wraps of EDERKI Piquillo Peppers and Basque sauce

  Ingrédients Recette

  • 2 300-g containers fresh cheese (example: St Morêt)
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • 1 tablespoon Ederki Mild or Strong Basque Sauce
  • 1 22-cl jar Ederki Piquillo peppers
  • 1 package of 6 wheat wraps (example: Old El Paso)
  • Cling film

  Préparation Recette

  • Rinse and drain the Piquillo peppers in a colander, then slice them into strips.
  • Finely chop the chives
  • Put the fresh cheese in a bowl, mix in the chives.
  • Add the Ederki Basque Sauce and mix all together.
  • Spread the preparation on the wheat tortilla
  • Add slices of Piquillo peppers in the centre of the tortilla, make one long vertical strip.
  • Roll up the tortilla, tightly, parallel to the strip of peppers, forming a Wrap.
  • Repeat these steps for all the wheat tortillas, making 6 Wraps.
  • Cover each wrap in cling film and chill at least 2 hours prior to serving.

At serving time, remove the wraps from the refrigerator, and cut them into 2-cm thick slices.

For more colour on the plate, you can also replace the Piquillos peppers with tri-colour Ederki peppers!

Excellent at aperitif time, or as a starter, with a green salad.
